Who am I?

I was given this bear in 1986. It was bought in the San Francisco Bay Area. It had a yellow/gold pacifier I’m told. I don’t remember that. He I think is Dakin. But I can not find him. He was all dark brown except his ear lining was light tan/peach. His tag was removed (with the pacifier) in 1989 so I don’t know what it was. I found a similar bear. Also missing his pacifier but it is a much lighter color. But that new one has a tag. See photos. If you have any info on this bear please help!!! We’re adopting a child and so so so wanted to give them the same cherished bear I had growing up.
