vintage Steiff teddy bear
This vintage Steiff teddy bear is my childhood bear, which I never played with as it is hard and not cuddly and it growls when you lean it back, so therefore I was actually afraid of it. Both of my parents are deceased and I have an 18 year old son whom never had interest in it either, and I don't blame him one bit! LOL! I was born in 1967, so I know it is older than that, and as you can see in very good condition. It has the Steiff tac in his left ear, has all its hair, still growls when you lean him back, sits up straight, and has kind off remained in the same condition since I was a little girl. I'm actually trying to upload artwork and other valuables that no one has interest in, unfortunately in my family since my parents now are both gone. I'm on this page seeking help for valuation of my teddy bear, as I have researched it and have found that it might be worth some money. I have taken pictures of the front, back, side and the tac in his ear and am looking toward your site as to what would be the best approach to give my teddy bear to a family that would love him, appreciate him and pass him down through their family lines. I'm the youngest of all my family members, including all of my cousins, so therefor I'm sad to say that nobody wants him. Still to this day, I don't know why my older brother got the cuddly teddy bear, that he still has that is worn and loved! Perhaps if my parents bought a girl teddy bear for me that I could sleep with at night I wouldn't be in this predicament. :) Please redirect me to another site if I've just wasted your and my time! Take care, be safe and always remember to Live, Laugh and Love!
