Teddy From the 1940s or Before

This bear has been in my family since at least the 1940s. He bear belonged to my father who was born in 1949. I'm not sure if the bear preexisted him or not. He wears a pair of pantaloon-style over-all pants and a blouse style shirt. What furbhe has left appears to be orangey-reddish brownHe has no eyes left and no nose button or anything. There is no label or tag. My dad says its an old Winnie the Pooh, but I have been unable to find a Winnie the Pooh bear with trousers like his. He is in very poor condition after being so well loved. I would like to know what he used to look lie as I would be thrilled if I could have him restored somehow. Can anyone help me ID this precious fanily member? Thanks so much in advance! -Sarah
