Hello!! I have done hours of googling and have had no luck so i hope that this website can help because I would love to find out where my bear came from and maybe even get a newer version since it will be coming up on the 20th anniversary of receiving him . Technically I stole him since he was a gift from my sister. I was about 18 months old at this time. His name is Teddy (I know, creative) and he has come with me all up and down the east coast, to surgeries and psychiatrists, and he came to college with me in 2019 and of course will be joining me in my first Apartment in August. My bear was received as a gift in approximately late 2002 or early 2003. He is pale yellow or cream/beige colored now, and I think he has always been this color, but was probably brighter originally, with yellow pads on his paws. He was never very fluffy, his fur is short and textured, almost like fleece or flannel. I had a little Cracker Barrel beany baby named Corn Bread with a similar fur texture as a kid, it was short and very soft. He has solid black plastic eyes and his nose and mouth are stitched from brown thread (that loose thread is a product of years of love! He did not come like that). He has a kind smile. he has a golden-yellow ribbon around his neck. He has round ears and a square shaped tail. To my knowledge he did not come with clothing or any other accessories. He has no embroidered logo or anything similar; he had a tag once, but it has fallen off and by the time it did, any identifiable logo or text was gone. I'm not sure, but i think it may have had a line of toys on it. The tag was attached to the seam on his bum. He's about a foot and a half tall and he doesn't sit up on his own. I suspect that he did at first, but after years of loving most of his stuffing has dissolved. Either way i think he has always been very floppy. His head has remained pretty solid though he's never had to be repaired so i don't know what he's stuffed with. It's not very firm though and i remember as a kid i used to be able to squish it around between his head and body. He has a sack of beanbags in his body that gives him some weight which is why i think he used to be able to sit up. I'm not sure if this makes any difference, but at the time i received him, my family lived in Louisiana, as did the people who gifted him to me. As far as i know he's not gendered, as in he's not marketed to boys or girls.
Thank you so much to anyone who is able to help and thank you to the people who run this website, what an awesome way to help people!!! I hope everyone is having a good day and staying warm this winter!
