Talky ted
Talky ted is a bear made of parachute type nylon fabric. Their ears are round and mainly white, with the inside stitched as a pink and white plaid pattern. Their head is white and round. Around the eyes are a slightly rectangular stitching, with two eyes with a sleepy expression, made of a softer material I can’t identify. The eye lids are a yellow ish colour, and fall halfway down the eyes, splitting the pupils in half. The eyes are connected, so they are one whole piece of fabric. The “mouth” of the bear is stitched in a rectangular “fluffy” way, with a nose made of a softer woolen piece. The mouth area has a line stitched down the middle.
The body is 1/3 white, 2/3 pink. With a stitched line down the middle. The arms are white. The legs are also white, coming from the pink body, and have a pink and white plaid pattern on the feet, the same as the ears. The bear has no tail.
It measures at around 40-45cm from feet to the ears
And a wing span of 35 ish cm.
I’ve owned this bear since I was a little girl, very early 2000s. It has no tags and never has since being in my possession. It was bought for me from a charity shop so I have no idea how old it may be.
I adore this teddy. My dad would move its head around and do deep silly voices at me, which gave it the name “talky ted”. This teddy has been to every new place with me, France, Belgium, London. They now sit with me in my dorm room, I’m currently restuffing them so the photo will show the head being puffy and the body flat. Also they have a lot of stitching where they’ve ripped, including some colourful pieces on the front.
and I intend on keeping them until I’m very old- possibly giving them to my own children.
