Hi Everyone,

My bear, Martin, has been with me since I was born in 1994. We have been through everything together.

I believe he was a gift from my grandmother but I cannot be sure of that. He apparently used to growl, but to avoid being a choking hazard, my mum removed the battery pack when I was about 3.

He also used to have his tongue sticking out, but as I am sure you can imagine, that didn't last long when I was a toddler.

The yellow vest was made by my nan and was NOT originally with him.

I would be very very interested if anyone else has another one like him or info as to where he may be from.

Hi. I believe we may have the same bear. The bear was bought by my aunt in Los Angeles and was gifted to my elder sister in 1984. My sister left the bear behind and so he’s been with me ever since. At nearly 40, I still sleep with him. Just a thought: the orange vest may be an original. His has a J on it and guess what? We named him Jayceet Martin because all three of us sisters have JM for our initials.
