I love Winnie the Pooh. I was fortunate enough to find a unique bear at a thrift store in Hawaii. He might be handmade as there is no tag. He appears to be in good condition. He is wearing a maroon shirt with leather ties instead of buttons. His stitching looks very clean and he is very stuffed. When I paid for him at the counter the lady working said oh it's a traditional pooh. I am curious to know if anybody knows anything about this bear. I searched on the Internet and could not find anything that would lead me to believe that it was anything other than handmade. A very long time ago my great grandmother gave me several bears that were hand made and the stitching reminds me of them, but more precise. I only paid a couple of dollars for him, but he is the Perfect souvenir from my Hawaii trip as I collect Pooh Bear items. I don't mostly collect anymore but I do have several ceramic items. I don't have very many stuffed bears, so I can't give many more details. He might be made of suede or leather, not sure. I found this forum on the Internet and I decided to give it a try to see if I could find out any more information about this bear. If you have any information, feel free to reach out. I appreciate any help that I can get in this endeavor. Thank you and mahalo for your help.
