Please help date my mum's old teddy

As long as I can remember this teddy has sat on my parents bed. My mum has always been curious about the age of the teddy as her mum brought it for her at a garage sale, so she has never known it to be new.
The teddy was brought without eyes so I can't offer any details on them unfortunately. Ted has a brown stitched nose and mouth, and although he's rather bland in colour he used to be gold, and this can still be seen inside his ears, he was just well loved!
His arms and legs are moveable but his head is not and he seems to have a crunchy filling in both his body and head.
Any information about ted would be greatly appreciated!
