Pink teddy bear 2002

Pink Teddy Bear

I have had this teddy bear since I was born. He now is looking a bit run down but I was wondering where the original bear came from. He now has one ear and is torn at the seams but he is my comfort bear. I always thought he was a polar bear and I got told he was pink. I have attached an image. I’m assuming he would be from somewhere in the UK as that’s where I live and the person who bought him for me would have got him from. If anyone has any idea where he came from or just any information at all that would be very much appreciated. Thank you :)

Possibly a Russ Berrie !

Hello!

I just went through a whole search online. What I found is that it may be a Russ Berrie brand bear from the 90s. Russ Berrie has a TON of other little brans like Luv Ums and such so it made it pretty hard to find. The company also went under in 2002 which is the year I received my bear whom I loving call "Pinky." When I got him he had a dark pink ribbon around his neck and a red tag.

SO. My first connection to Russ Berrie bears is the "russ berrie bear of the month" collection which look like my bear just with different colors and words on the feet. I did a bunch of searching on Ebay and Facebook marketplace and found the Russ Berie Champagne Bear!

Specifically the "Vintage Russ Berrie Bear From the Past Champagne"

Mine shows the weight of love with his plush no longer being so plushy and the ribbon has been lost to time. I received him for my 1st birthday in 2002 in Cleveland, Ohio.

I think your bear is a Russ Berrie! I hope this helps <3

I have a really similar bear, well 3 of them. One of them has the exact same material, colour and stitch on the front neck, but it also had features like a neck ribbon, a tail and a phrase on the belly saying "my first teddy". I also got them in the UK around early 2000, but the tag was cut off because I was a picky kid, and they were gifted from some of my parents friends.
Im hoping someone has one thats similar to mine, but this is the closest I've seen on the Internet.

Hey! Fellow Brit here. I think you have the same teddy bear as me! I got mine when I was born and I'm more than sure that it's from Mothercare. My mum used to work there and I'm 99% sure its from there. I would post pictures but seems like it doesn't allow me to. i got this bear in 2003 from the hospital when i was born and have been searching for a bit. i’m surprised my Pink Bear kept up so well compared to the new condition but google the first line to find it.

Hey! I'm 99% sure I have the same bear but in a newer condition! If you look up "pink chenille bear 2003" on the site then it should pop up :) Mine is from the US but they look so similar!
