I found this bear at a local Peddlers mall and instantly fell in love! I really would like to know more about him, as he has no tags and I haven't had much luck in my research. I named him Ernest Morris Winslow and I wrote a short backstory on him, just from my imagination and what I thought of as soon as I saw him... He is a quiet and gentle bear who lives in a quaint little cottage, deep in the woods, along a windy trail that is almost completely overgrown with flowers and vines. But if you are lucky enough to stumble across his path and venture down to his dwelling, you will be in for such a treat! He will greet you warmly and offer you a cup of tea. If you're hungry, there are finger sandwiches as well as his soup of the day, all made from scratch with the bounty he picked from his garden just that morning. And of course, plenty of cookies! He will spend the day with you, showing you around his side of the forest, opening your eyes to all the little things that are so easily overlooked, but now seem so full of magic. As the sun starts to set, he will invite you inside to sit by the fire and curl up in his favorite spot...an old but tremendously comfortable armchair. There are tears here and there and the color has faded in most spots, but it has been well loved and gives you a sense of love in return as you sink into its cushion. His living room may seem cluttered at first glance but every little thing has it's place and a story or two to go with it. There are knick knacks a plenty, and stacks upon stacks of books, some piled all the way up to the ceiling. He has books that tell stories of all types of adventures, that teach so many lessons and that give the best advice and guidance when you need it most. His books are his most prized possessions. They all hold a very special place in his heart and he knows each and every one, through and through. After these few short hours, he knows *you* through and through, he knows your heart and what it needs. He will take a few moments to carefully choose a book amongst his collection to present to you with a soft smile and kind eyes. As you begin to delve between the pages, he will bring you his patchwork quilt, one he has been working on for years, to wrap yourself up in. And as you drift off into a new world, he will nestle in close and start to knit a new patch, one inspired by you, to join with all the others that came before.
