Original teddy? 1st Bear/Repair

I've had this bear from birth by an aunt or someone, and it was attached to me for years. Can't imagine it's worth anything or that and it's been through the mill, but I have always wanted to get it fixed up, and now I'm going to become a dad I would love to have it for my own kid.
I was born December 1988, Monaghan, Ireland. Possible it's just from a local shop and not something anyone else would recognise, but just thought I'd try here to see if anyone can help. Or has an image of the bear in its original state. I don't have any pictures of it and can't find an online. And I'd love to send it off to the Teddy bear hospital for fixing. It originally had a red hat at an ankle over its left ear.

Would be grateful if anyone could help.

I just realised you're in Ireland. Well Imm in Tasmania!! You could post your Teddy to Leith Toy Hospital in Edinburgh. They do great work.
