Old German teddy bear
Hi. I have a teddy bear measuring about 80cm tall. It is filled with wood fibre, including some filling in its ears. It is made from mohair material, felt paw pads and amber glass eyes. It's nose is molded in a black material that looks like solid plastic or a resin. The mouth is embroidered. It has a growler that no longer works. There is a fabric label stating "Made in Germany" attached to the right forehead seam. It's limbs are attached by metal rods. There is no Steiff button or indication of one having been there in the past. There is a slight bear hump on the back, but I think the arms are shorter than a Steiff. Particularly with the unusual placement of the label on the face and the rods attaching the limbs I am hoping that someone can identify this bear for me. Apart from the legs being a bit loose and foot pads a bit worn it is generally in good condition with no bald patches or holes.
