old 24" bear

old 24" bear

Hi there i wondered if anyone could help me on some information on this bear.

I was kindly given this bear with no information as to where or when he was made. He stands 24" high and is filled with kapok I understand. He has glass bead eyes and a short mussle. I think he has mohair although I am no expert hence why I wanted to gain as much info on him as possible.

Unfortunately there is no identifying mark anywhere on him. He has vertical stitching on his front and back. I have tried to do as much research as possible but to no avail or you start thinking that you have a bing bear or a steiff.

His condition isn't the greatest as you can see in the pictures I can only assume that he has been well loved and played with alot.

If you could give me any info on him or point me in the right direction it would be helpful.

Oh also I forgot to mention that he is jointed I understand that call it a cotterpin joint and that's all I can say really.
