Light brown bear with movable head and limbs
I was given this teddy bear about 20 years ago in with a bag of toys that were going to be thrown out. I kept him because he’s just so sweet and I couldn’t stand the idea of him going to a landfill site. He also looked to me to be fairly old, so thought he might have some important history to him. I’m not someone who knows anything about bears (except for the obvious things that everyone knows) so I really don’t know how to identify him. Does anyone have any ideas of who he might be? He doesn’t have any labels, but I can see the remnants of one on his front seam (I’ve tried to take a photo of this but it didn’t show much and I can only attach four photos - there is no writing but a little bit of red on the label). His arms, legs and head all move and he’s able to stand alone as I’ve shown in the photos. He has some damage of one of his paws and the fabric on them all looks original. I think he has glass eyes but if I’m honest I don’t know how to tell that for sure. I would guess that he’s around 12 inches, but I can’t find a tape measure of check. I was once offered £20 for him by an auctioneer who came round to value some things after my grandparents died, but I didn’t want to let him go. I would love it if anyone could share any ideas about him with me.
