Inherited Teddy Bear

My mother recently passed away and found this little gem that I had never seen or heard about from mom (her parents deceased also).
The bear measures approximately 9 inches long. Both eyes are intact, are roundish, and appear to be a dark brown in color. There is a silver metal button in his right hear, however, I'm unable to decipher any inscriptions. I believe the fur is mohair. The nose is pointy. There are areas where the stitching has come out. The stuffing is a straw type, possibly made from wood, especially because of it's color. There is a firmness at the jointed areas.Thanks in advance for your time and expertise.
