Recently my mother passed away and I received a steam truck. The trunk was made in 1921 and belonged to my grandmother who was born in 1925. Inside the trunk was a black and white teddy bear. He appears to be hand stitched and has no label attached anywhere. What little fur remains is soft to the touch. He is very solid feeling and not lumpy. He has flat disc eyes and a fun little nose that feels like a hard plastic. He smells like he’s been in the trunk for 100 years. I’d love to know more about him. I’ve looked on the internet but most black and white bears are pandas. He does not have black around his eyes. His limbs are longer which I read indicates an earlier dated bear. I’ve attached a picture.
