English Bear

This bear came from England it was my grandmothers it was given to her as a child we call him old blind bear he is 17 in tall and 9 in across his shoulders here's filled with kapok and has felt pause what's left of them my grandmother passed around 20 years ago she was 78 the bear belong to her mother and was given to her as a child please help me identify weather this bear is stiff and maybe how much it's worth thank you

He looks like a Merrythought bear to me. At one time,he would have had a label on his foot and you would have been able to date him from that label.I'd say he's worth around £80- £100 He's lovely and possibly 80+ years old. You could email a picture of him to the Merry thought shop. They have a very helpful member of staff who-if he is a Merrythought- will be able to date him and value him. Good luck x
