Articulated Teddy Bear
This articulated limb teddy was acquired in Germany as a gift. It is very old, but age unknown. Manufacturer unknown. The pads of the feet are a beige/cream color leather. The brown body is covered in short brown looped fibers that look faux, not real hair. Arms are about 7 1/4” long, legs 7 1/2”. Arms and head attached by metal interior to the joints. Limbs and head have full 360 degree rotation. Ears have rounded, half- circle appearance. The nose and mouth are black thread. The eyes are smooth black glass buttons. The face appears flat because the nose and mouth are directly on the surface of the round head instead of on a protruding muzzle. The lack of a muzzle gives an appearance that is different from the look of a traditional Steif bear head, while the body does have the traditional look. The bear can sit upright. Laying down, the full body length is about 18”.
