Soldier Bear
14" upright bear, jointed arms and legs, stuffed with sawdust or fine wood shavings, sewn on black trousers, red jacket with small black felt buttons, faded gold piping on jacket cuffs and front of jacket, red pillbox hat at an angle over one ear with a strap under the chin. If you move his stubby tail his head moves left and right. Amber glass eyes, stitching to delineate along the four paws, wool on one side, a sort of flannel on the other.
Belonged to someone in my family's past but nobody left to ask about it. We just used to call him Soldier Bear.
