I have just resented found this teddy in a give away box outside some ones house in east london, that was being sold and restored. thought it might be old as there is evidence that it is stuffed with straw like material because there is a small hole to the back side of his head , apart from that I think he generally good condition apart from his faded colour .i can't identify what fabric it is made in .. It is 20cm from toe to head , it's arms legs and head rotate 360 degrees , I cannot see any signs of a label in the ear or else wear, I think it's eyes are glass at 8mm with black pupils and orange iris, its nose is not that elongated and stitched in black as is it's down turned mouth, its paws are orange, it's body is quite solid and crunchy to the squeeze as are its limbs .. he is a very cute and I would just love to know a bit more about him if any one out there knows any thing or can identify him his age or his manufactures ..

I can't think what else to say to make it to 400 words apart from writing a sentence like this to boost the word count

Sorry but he looks nothing like a steiff bear! I think he looks more like a chiltern. Probably mid 60's.hole in back of head is where someone has renovated him, and pulled his eyes through to the back of his head and tied them in.

Hello. For fun (& my daughters need to have some Bears as bed companions in her holiday cottage)!! I got carried away at s sale from a deceased collector of Teddy Bears. I got about 300!! Nothing valuable unfortunately but one, mint, one was made by Frankie Edwards of Exford, Somerset. I can find no info on her (it had tel. no. but of course no good)Does anyone know anything about this person? Mid brown, felt feet.hands with embroidered "claws" Green tarten ribbon round neck, fully jointed.Poss. hand crafted but no label other than those mentioned.

I'd say he's an old Steiff bear.He looks exactly like a Steiff. Rom your pictures,he also looks like he has a circular rust mark around one of his ears indicating that he .ight have once had a button there. Hes lovely and worth £100+ Nice find.😀
