1960 Teddy Bear


Hi, I'm curious about MY Teddy,

I am a 60 year old Kiwi who has been living in Perth, Western Australia for over 40 years and I have never parted from my original Teddy. All I can say is this is my one and only ORIGINAL Teddy. He now has pride of place at the corner of my library...see photo.

Any info would be appreciated or if you need any more info...please reply.

Hi your bear looks like a Pedigree bear. Made in New Zealand at the Pedigree factory that opened some time in the 1940's l think. The brown velvet pads and ear inserts are very typical of nz Pedigree. Also the long outer stitch on the nose. I live in nz and have several vintage Pedigree bears. He is probably stuffed with sub. Later bears had plastic noses. Hope this helps. Regards Sue

Hi Please can you tell us more about you and your bear. Also a discription might be helpful as pictures can often be difficult to see. Normally submission which do not have much detail do not get uploaded as they don't often get any responses.
