1953 teddy bear

Hi I got him from neighbours as I’d lost my teddy I’d had from birth. So he was not purchased by us this was about 1953 so he could be a few years older. No labels I ever remember on him. He’s a honey colour mohair fur stuffed with a straw type wood wool. He has Wired glass brown eyes.He does have a growler in him which is not working now. He is Approx 24” length and has a rexine type material oval pads on his paws but triangular pad on his feet.

I measured my bear properly and he’s 20" long I was contacted by a teddy bear group who varied in what they said. Most likely he’s a Tara bear from Ireland

My mother had a bear just like yours. She was born in 1949 and said that she's had it since she was a baby. My bear isn't as tall and the feet and hands are peach color almost. Not dark like yours. If you can find my post on here you'll see it.

I don't know much about my bear. I plan on getting it appraised. If you find out anything about yours please let me know.
